Barry Wilson is from Cork, Ireland and has spent the last year in studio collaborating with over 22 musicians around Ireland creating, writing and arranging music for his upcoming album for the latter end of 2018; as well as contributing in places drums, percussion, piano, e-piano, vocals and lyrics to his pieces. The music is a blend of Jazz, Funk, Neo Soul, Film Soundtrack and everything in between.


Collaborations with vocalists include the likes of Ophelia McCabe, Shaool, Gemma Sugrue, Kala Chung and Sara Ryan to name a few. The project is in the early stage of being taken to the live stage, most recently Coughlan's Bar, The Kino in Cork along with a shows for Cork Jazz Festival including The Crane Lane and The Met Bar.  There are plenty of other live performances in the planning stages for the rest of the year as well as single, video and live releases.



Barry went to CSN for 3 years achieving a BTEC level certificate in music.  He then went on to obtain a BA in Popular Music from Cork School of Music, achieving a 1st class honours. He teaches drums in the Academy of Popular Music and Togher Music School as well as previously being in the pit for shows in prestigious venues such as The Everyman Theatre in Cork and Siamsa Tíre in Kerry. He frequently gigs in both original and cover bands, performing in well known venues such as Whelans in Dublin, Dolans Warehouse in Limerick and Coughlans in Cork. As well as this he has performed at festivals such as Indiependence and Castlepalooza. Since writing original music, his pieces have been broadcasted on radio stations such as 2FM, 96FM, REDFM, KCLR and many more.
